Savannah Chrisley is co-hosting “The View” this week, causing many fans to threaten to boycott the show over her appearance.
The 28-year-old is the daughter of Todd and Julie Chrisley, who shot to fame in 2014 with their reality TV series “Chrisley Knows Best” and were found guilty in 2022 of conspiring to defraud Georgia banks out of more than $36 million in personal loans and tax evasion, before being pardoned by Donald Trump in May 2025.
The TV personality was revealed to be stepping in for “The View” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin after she welcomed her first child on Feb. 10.
ABC previously revealed that numerous guest hosts would be joining Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Ana Navarro during Griffin’s maternity leave.
Savannah is hosting “The View” from Feb. 17 to Feb. 20 and will welcome guests including Jelly Roll, Bunnie Xo, Mark Wahlberg, Jonathan Roumie, Delroy Lindo, Amber Ruffin, and Jennifer Garner.
After ABC revealed the news that Savannah was hosting, fans flocked to social media and claimed they would not be tuning into the show this week.
One person said, “I watch The View everyday since the beginning. I love all different views from the host until today. Savannah Chrisley is unwatchable. There must have been someone from the right that was better! I’ll see you next week!”
Another social media user added, “Why is Savannah Chrisley at the table?”
Savannah previously revealed that hosting the show is “out of her comfort zone.”
During an episode of her “Unlocked” podcast, she revealed she wanted to co-host the show because she likes “doing things that challenge me, [and] I like doing things that educate me.”
She added, “I’m totally going outside of my comfort zone by doing ‘The View.’ I mean, this is a show that … these personalities have bashed my family, have bashed me. These are the same women who made a comment to the extent of, ‘Wonder what she had to do for those pardons.'”
Savannah has frequently spoken out about the toll of her parents’ incarceration.
Todd, 56, was sentenced to 12 years (later reduced to 10 years) in the Federal Correctional Institution Pensacola in Florida. Julie, 52, was sentenced to 7 years in the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, KY.
Following her parents’ incarceration, Savannah took on the care of her brother, Grayson, 19, and her niece, Chloe, 12, while also assuming responsibility for the care and maintenance of her parents’ opulent dwelling.
At the same time, the burgeoning real estate agent was tirelessly campaigning for Todd and Julie’s release, issuing public pleas for government support, while alleging that her parents were being subjected to “beyond inhumane” conditions behind bars.
On May 27, her prayers were answered when Trump revealed to her in a personal phone call that he planned to pardon her parents. Just a few days later, they were released from prison.
Now, Savannah is ready to return the hefty upkeep of their home to Todd and Julie.
While speaking on a new series, “The Chrisleys: Life After Lockup,” which aired on Hulu on June 29, Savannah revealed that she has spent the last two years residing in her parents’ Nashville abode—and she is finally ready to bid it farewell.
She joked that she was excited to go back to the “carefree life of a 28-year-old,” as she opened up about her next residence.
“That’s what I keep saying, ‘I’m moving into a condo,'” she said, noting that her family has asked her, “Aren’t you going to miss a house?”
“I’m not going to miss landscapers, I’m not going to miss pool people,” Savannah explained.
Todd added, “I have learned that a house is not a priority to her. Maintenance is not a priority to her.”
Savannah snapped back at her father, noting that she had to focus on “raising” her sibling and niece while they were behind bars.
“No, I was raising kids,” she said, before recalling the moment her dad stepped into their Nashville home following his release.
“He comes in and is critiquing everything in the house. I was literally fighting for y’all for two and a half years and raising kids, I think the floors are fine,” she teased.
And it’s not just Savannah who is ready to look outside of the Nashville dwelling; Todd and Julie are also looking to relocate to Charleston, SC, to become landlords.
“We have hopes of acquiring a mansion there that we’re going to convert to a hotel,” Todd revealed.
Their new business venture comes less than two months after they were pardoned for their tax fraud scheme, with Trump telling their daughter that he believed their incarceration had been a “terrible thing.”
Prior to their imprisonment, the Chrisley family was known for flaunting their lavish lifestyle, which included the purchase and sale of several luxurious homes.
In April 2019, Julie bought a posh property in Brentwood, TN, for $3.4 million, having snapped it up from former hockey pro Mike Ribeiro, who had been playing with the Nashville Predators.
The Chrisleys renovated the mansion and, just two months later, put it back on the market for $4.75 million.
However, they struggled to sell it and took it off the market a year later.
Built in 2013, the 12,753-square-foot mansion is outfitted with high-end finishes. Highlights include a formal dining room with hand-painted wallpaper, a rec room, a wine cellar, an indoor sport court, and a wood-paneled office with a decorative ceiling.
Set on an acre, the grounds boast a covered patio with a fireplace and barbecue station, as well as a pool and spa.
For a time, the family used the property as their main residence, having relocated from their former home in the Belle Meade neighborhood of Nashville when it started to draw “unwanted attention from tourists.”
The Belle Meade home was purchased by the family for $1.6 million in 2016, when they relocated from Atlanta to Nashville. The home quickly earned its own celebrity profile after being featured on their series.
Built in 2014, the four-bedroom, 5,229-square-foot home features a living room with multiple sets of French doors, an open kitchen with a large island, a wet bar, and two fireplaces.
Measuring a little over a half-acre, the outdoor space includes a level lawn and a patio.
In 2020, ownership of the Belle Meade property was transferred to Savannah, and it is understood that this is the home where Todd and Julie are living following their release.
