NFL quarterback Josh Allen may have missed his chance at another Super Bowl appearance with the Buffalo Bills this season—but he has by no means been slacking on his interests outside of football in recent weeks.
While Allen, 29, suffered a devastating defeat against the Denver Broncos in the NFL divisional round on Jan. 17, a loss that left the sports star in tears during the postgame press conference, he still has plenty to look forward to in the coming months, not least the arrival of his first child with pop star Hailee Steinfeld.
The NFL QB and his 29-year-old wife announced that they are expecting their first baby together in December—and weeks later, Allen quietly removed his $8.5 million California bachelor pad from the market, perhaps a sign that he is hoping to focus solely on the upcoming arrival of his child rather than deal with a real estate kerfuffle.
As yet, Allen has not yet slip when his first baby is due, nor has he confirmed whether he plans to relist his Dana Point, CA, home when his child arrives.
He could, perhaps, follow in the footsteps of Hollywood A-lister Ellen DeGeneres, who recently delisted her extraordinary $30 million British farmhouse—only to then snap up a new dwelling in Montecito, CA, for the sky-high price of $27.4 million.
DeGeneres, 67, and her wife, Portia de Rossi, 52, are understood to have bought the California home from Hollywood producer Brian Grazer.
Property records viewed by Realtor.com® show that the couple purchased the property through a trust managed by DeGeneres’ longtime business manager, Harley J. Neuman.
That same trust was used when DeGeneres bought a sprawling Carpenteria estate in 2022, which she later sold for a staggering $96 million in August 2024, months before she and de Rossi moved to the Cotswolds in the U.K.
Newly appointed U.S. Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle, “The Pitt” star Noah Wyle, and Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence round out the list of this month’s most prominent movers and shakers.
