‘Summer House’ Star Amanda Batula’s Money Struggles With Ex Kyle Cooke Revealed—as She Admits She Owed Him $117K in ‘Back Rent’

Reality TV star Amanda Batula shed some light on at least one of the pain points in her relationship with estranged husband Kyle Cooke, revealing in Bravo’s new “Summer House” spinoff show, “In the City,” that Cooke kept a “spreadsheet” of all the money she owes him—including $117,000 in back rent.

During the premiere episode of the new Bravo show, which was largely filmed in fall 2025, before Batula and Cooke split in January 2026, and prior to the public reveal of her relationship with “Summer House” co-star West Wilson, Batula, 34, confessed that she and her spouse had been bickering over their finances, namely the extraordinary amount of money he said she owed him.

Speaking to co-star Lindsey Hubbard, Batula voiced her frustration at Cooke’s insistence on keeping their finances fair and even, saying: “He has a spreadsheet of all this money that I owed him. So now [I’m] paying him in all these lump sums.”

As Batula complained to Hubbard, a price tag appeared on the screen, revealing that, among the debts she owed Cooke, was a staggering $117,000 chunk of unpaid “back rent” amassed during a three-year period, likely for their shared dwelling in New York City.

Despite her upset over the spreadsheet, Batula insisted that she had squared away all of her debts, stating: “I already paid it. No sweat off my back. We’re good.”

Hubbard attempted to comfort her friend, assuring her that if she paid the amount “last week,” she understood where her “resentment is coming from,” noting that the issues in the marriage are only going to grow if the pair can’t get on the same page.

Hubbard later shared Batula’s complaints with their friends, revealing that her friend and Cooke have “very separate lives.”

She then told the group, “Amanda didn’t pay rent for the last three years, “So then he tallied it all up and charged her last week. I s–t you not. Charged her last week so then she had to pay him.”

Earlier in the episode, Cooke admitted that he was facing significant financial issues, largely relating to his beverage brand, Loverboy, which he confessed he’d had to invest another $500,000 in, “just to keep the lights on” amid a drop in sales.

Even so, Cooke had to let go of five employees and take up DJing on the side to make ends meet, according to Bravo.

“Now, I’m basically on the financial brink of disaster,” he revealed. “That’s one of the reasons why I started DJing: to pay the bills. If I don’t find a partner, either to buy Loverboy or take on our operations, we will go out of business by the end of this year.”

In addition to their money problems, additional cracks began to appear in the couple’s marriage during the season premiere—with Batula announcing to Cooke on their fourth wedding anniversary that she was going to move out of their shared home.

She insisted at the time that she was only doing so to save their marriage, claiming that she wanted to make an effort to do more fun things together.

“I’m going to move out. I know it’s our anniversary. I’m not bringing it up, like, ‘I’m out, I’m leaving.’ This is like a month. This is not to end the relationship. I want to date again. I want to get together and spend time like this. I’m not doing this to run away. I’m doing this because I want it to work out,” she told Cooke.

At the time, Cooke told the cameras that he was “trying to be open minded,” but added, “It feels extreme. I’m not sold on this being the solution.”

Viewers saw the problems between Batula and Cooke reach a boiling point during the season 10 reunion of “Summer House,” where the TV personality told her estranged husband that she would not be accompanying him to the Hamptons like they did every summer because she needed “space.”

Just a few months after the most recent “Summer House” was filmed, Batula and Cooke announced they were divorcing.

“After much reflection, we have mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple. We share this with a heavy heart and kindly ask for your grace and support while we focus on our personal growth and healing,” they wrote in a joint statement.

“It feels ironic to ask for privacy during this time since we’ve always tried to be open and honest about our relationship, but your kindness and respect will go a long way as we try to navigate our next chapter.”

Batula has since begun dating “Summer House” co-star Wilson, who was previously romantically tied to Ciara Miller, a move that sent shockwaves through the group.

It is expected that the love square will be the focus of the show’s upcoming reunion episodes, which are due to air on May 26, June 2, and June 9.

While the network has done its utmost to keep details of the reunion under wraps, previous leaks from the set revealed that viewers can expert an action-packed three-episode arc, during which Miller is expected to confront Batula about her relationship with Wilson, referring to her in one leaked clip as “a snake.”

Host Andy Cohen later revealed that the tension inside the room where the cast shot was incredibly hard to deal with, noting that Wilson and Batula’s unexpected romance had “sent shockwaves” through the group, particularly their exes, Miller and Cooke.

“There were so many emotions on that stage—deep anger, deep hurt,” Cohen said. “This situation has truly sent shockwaves through this group. … It really has caused shockwaves through the group in ways that I didn’t even realize until I sat there looking into the faces and hearing from some of these housemates.”

Amid the furious fallout from Batula and Wilson’s relationship reveal, the sprawling Hamptons property was put on the market for $5.65 million, where it remains at the time of writing.

However, the impressive abode, which has served as the set of the explosive “Summer House” for the past few seasons, is now entering a new chapter as a luxury rental with hospitality and vacation rental company StayMarquis announcing that is offering a one-of-a-kind opportunity to use the home as the setting for a reunion-focused stay.

Fans will have the opportunity to bid on one-night stays at the iconic Sag Harbor residence for private watch parties tied to the highly anticipated reunion episodes.

The property previously generated as much as $250,000 per month in summer rental income, further underscoring the growing demand surrounding homes tied to major TV franchises.

It is also not known how the potential sale of the “Summer House” dwelling would affect future seasons of the show, which has not yet been renewed for Season 11, although the drama that has unfolded among its cast members may well spur Bravo to pick it up again.

While the Hamptons dwelling has been rented by Bravo every summer for several years now, property records show that it has previously been offered publicly for as much as $46,000 a month.

It last changed hands for $4.6 million in 2021, with records showing that it was purchased through a New York–based LLC called Du-Car Management Co.
