Patrick Mahomes Whisks Wife Brittany and Their Kids Off for Ranch Getaway in His Home State of Texas

Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, are already busy soaking up the lazy, hazy days of summer ahead of the start of pre-season training—whisking their children away for a fun-filled farm trip in the quarterback’s home state of Texas.

The NFL quarterback, 30, took a break from the football field to spend some time at the Milk and Honey Ranch in Burton, TX, alongside Brittany, 30, and their three children: daughter Sterling Skye, 5; son Patrick “Bronze” Lavone III, 3; and baby girl Golden Raye, 1.

Brittany took to Instagram to share some glimpses into the family’s adventure, saying in the caption that she had the “best” time with their loved ones.

“Go to a TX farm, invite all ya friends and fam, the best weekend with our squad,” she urged her followers, while revealing a carousel of photos and videos from the trip.

The photos showed Brittany holding Sterling as they viewed the farm animals, including ponies, chickens, cows, and more.

The Mahomes family also posed for a snap in front of a building labeled “The Saloon.”

While the ranch is a fair distance from the couple’s primary residence near Kansas City’s stadium in Missouri, it is only a four-hour drive from their off-season mansion in Westlake, TX, and a similar distance from Tyler, TX, where Patrick grew up.

The Mahomes family regularly head to their Texas abode when Patrick isn’t busy training and playing during the NFL season—and they enjoy a host of luxurious amenities while there.

The four-bedroom, 7,800-square-foot estate on a half-acre lot comes with lots of baller perks: a wine room, a family room with a gas fireplace, and an outdoor space with a gas fireplace, grill grotto, lounge area with fire pit, large pool, tanning deck, and spa.

Patrick and Brittany built the sprawling home from the ground up, having purchased the land on which their dwelling now sits for around $400,000 in 2020, according to records.

The property spans nearly 8 acres, with images revealing that the newly constructed abode features a stunning swimming pool, complete with a water slide, as well as a large sports field that has Patrick’s surname written across one end.

And he isn’t restricting himself to just football as far as his at-home sporting amenities go. In addition to the field, he and Brittany added a putting green and a private pond.

In October 2024, the home was the site of a burglary, an incident that Patrick later described as “frustrating” and “disappointing.”

“Obviously something that you don’t want to have happen to really anybody, but obviously yourself,” he said at the time.

Patrick and Brittany are believed to have moved into their home in 2023, having spent close to three years completing their dream abode. At around the same time, they listed their former Kansas City, MO, dwelling—a much more modest abode that they purchased in 2019.

According to local regulations, home sale prices do not have to be disclosed, meaning that the final sale price is not known. However, they put the abode on the market for $2.9 million. Before the couple purchased the property, it was last listed for $1.99 million.

Additionally, Patrick is understood to still own a two-bedroom penthouse in the city, which he lived in before moving in with his wife.

He picked up the place in 2018 and attempted to sell it in 2019 for $485,000. The 1,800-square-foot unit comes with an upper-level roof deck.

The family’s latest trip to Texas may have also involved some hard work for the famed NFL quarterback, who is hard at work recovering from a season-ending injury that required him to undergo surgery on a torn ACL.

The scar from that procedure can be seen in one of the photos posted from the ranch trip, revealing the significant operation that needed to be carried out to restore the football pro to full health.

But he appears to be making excellent progress, at least according to a January social media post in which he said he was “hitting all the checkpoints” while undergoing rehab.

He noted that his goal was to be back on the field during the first week of his new season.

“That’s my goal … to play Week 1 and have no restrictions,” Patrick said. “You want to be out there healthy and give us the best chance to win.”
