The cast of “Selling Sunset” is reportedly set for a major shake-up, with Christine Quinn and Heather Rae El Moussa said to be returning to Netflix’s hit real estate drama.
Weeks after Quinn confessed that she was having “conversations” with the streaming giant about coming back to the series on her own terms, reports emerged saying that the Texas native will be front and center for the show’s 10th season.
In fact, the cast was apparently “supposed to start filming, and it has been delayed because they are waiting for her to finish negotiations,” according to Us Weekly.
The 37-year-old became one of the most divisive women on TV after being positioned as the “villain” of the cast during her five-season run on “Selling Sunset,” which premiered in 2019.
Quinn ultimately bowed out of The Oppenheim Group and the show in 2022 at the end of its fifth season—and three years later, she revealed that she had left not only the series, but also the state in which it is set.
Meanwhile, Quinn’s former co-star, El Moussa, 38, is also reportedly eyeing a comeback after allegedly not having been asked to return to the series following the seventh season.
On the other hand, Us Weekly reports that fan-favorites Chelsea Lazkani and Nicole Young, who joined the cast in 2020 and 2022, respectively, would not be returning.
Despite recent reports, sources have told Realtor.com® that the cast is still being finalized.
Quinn previously revealed that she was eyeing up a comeback but noted that she wouldn’t return to the series unless she could do so on her own terms.
“I am in talks right now about the possibility of going back to ‘Selling Sunset,'” she told Entertainment Tonight. “We’re having conversations, but nothing’s officially signed yet. I want to make sure whatever I do makes sense for me.”
She added, “Nothing is set in stone, but we’re talking.”
Interestingly, Quinn’s admission about her discussions with Netflix came just a few months after her former co-star—and on-screen archnemesis—Chrishell Stause announced she was quitting the series, having been a regular on “Selling Sunset” since its premiere.
“I’ve gotten to a place where I don’t need the show financially. I’m lucky to have other forms of employment, because it’s no longer good for my mental health,” Stause said in November, while also revealing that she no longer has any kind of relationship with Quinn.
Quinn did not address Stause’s exit from the show during her recent interview—nor did she reveal what a return to “Selling Sunset” would mean for her life in Dallas.
The reality TV alum previously gushed about her return to her home state, telling the Dallas Morning News that her decision to move there was not only a desire to get out of California, but also a need to get back to her roots, noting that many viewers might not have realized that she’s a Texas native.
“A lot of people don’t know that I’m actually from Texas originally. So I grew up here, and I went to Southlake Carroll. A lot of people don’t know that,” she said. “My family still lives in the same house that I grew up in, and I live in the area. I’m a suburb gal.”
“Dallas is like my home and Fort Worth as well,” she said of her love for the Lone Star State.
She then showcased her favorite spots in the area for a girls’ night out.
“My favorite place to have a girls’ night out, there’s so many spots. The Gaylord, love that. Hotel Vin in Grapevine, love that.
“I love going to Fort Worth, too. I’m like a Billy Bob’s, sloppy drunk, Jell-O shots, absolutely love that. And then afterward, I would say White Elephant just to boot scoot and boogie, right? Those are some of my favorite places,” the real estate agent said.
But Quinn loves more than the partying scene that Texas has to offer. She also loves the shopping spots.
Although she does most of her retail therapy online, Quinn noted that there are shopping centers that she can’t get enough of.
“My favorite? Online. I’m tired. I’m a mom, girl, online. But, if I have to pick one, I’ll say Southlake Town Square. Just because it’s convenient and fabulous,” she said.
“I love a good fountain here and there, and you know, I like to be outdoors. I like the breeze. I like the breeze in my weave, you know. I’m an outdoor gal of the sort.”
