The daughter of Philadelphia Flyers founder Ed Snider has sold a stunning midcentury modern California residence 10 months after listing the picturesque property.
Records show the Venice home, which underwent several price decreases after it was listed in March 2025 for $3.8 million, has sold to a new owner for $3.3 million—the exact same price it was purchased for by the Snider family in July 2023.
While the listing agent did not disclose the identity of the seller, property records show that the home was owned by Sarena Snider, daughter of the Flyers’ legendary founder, who died in 2016.
The property, which is located just a few blocks from Abbot Kinney Boulevard and mere minutes from the beach, was built in 1949 and later reimagined by architect Robert Thibodeau, who put a modern spin on the classic midcentury design.
The three-bedroom dwelling is nestled in Venice’s Walk Street enclave, a picturesque collection of beach retreats on four streets (Nowita Place, Marco Place, Amoroso Place, and Crescent Place), all of which are known for their lush garden charm and English garden feel connected by a pedestrian path.

The exclusive neighborhood is a celebrity favorite; actress Julia Roberts reportedly owned a double-lot property in the community, before selling it to Tim Robbins.
“This is one of the most beloved places of Venice,” said listing agent Diana Braun of Compass. “There is no traffic, just houses connected by gardens. One of the best elements of this listing is that it is on a Walk Street.”
Distinctive design highlights found throughout the 2,117-square-foot estate include expansive windows and disappearing glass walls designed to let the natural light flood into the space.
Other luxurious details include wood floors, custom cabinetry, and built-in seating,.
“There is a sunken living room designed to create a separation between the kitchen,” Braun said. “It’s a smaller home and they probably could have built it larger, but they wanted to leave room to enjoy the outdoors. It feels much larger than it is because the layout is so smart.”
Three bedrooms, including a primary with private terrace overlooking the Walk Streets, are located upstairs and accessed by a sculptural floating staircase.
“It has been completely reimagined by a world-renowned architect who is very well known in Venice,” Braun noted. “Robert Thibodeau is a modernist who brings a warm feel to the home using natural elements and bringing the outside in and inside out. He created this environment for the owners and understands the value of the Walk Streets and the serenity it provides.”

A gourmet chef’s kitchen boasts high-end appliances and custom wood cabinetry. The nearby dining area shares a two-sided, concrete block fireplace with the living room.
While the secluded sanctuary garnered a quick sale, Braun says she originally envisioned the next buyer to be either a young professional, young family, or someone downsizing from a home lost in the Palisades fires.
“A lot of people use Venice as a second home with primary residences in New York or Florida, but this home could also be used as a primary residence,” she said.
A cute deck overlooks the private backyard, patio, and cedar hot tub. There is also a two-car garage that the sellers used as a studio/office space.
Asked why Snider has made the decision to part ways with the property after less than three years of ownership, Braun explained that she had made the decision to relocate back to the East Coast, where she is originally from.
“In Venice, we have a cross-section of every population. A lot of people moving here from the East Coast value the walkability of the area. It’s a good spot to be in.”
